KICKING THE BRAND INTO FULL THROTTLE
For Foster’s, being a brand that exudes fun and relaxation, we suggested that the brand host a nation-wide comedy event. The brand went on to tie-up with WeirdAss (Vir Das), and hosted a number of comedy events around the country under the name Foster’s LOL Evenings. The event saw some of India’s best comedians take centre stage and be associated with the brand.
VGC also conceptualised and created the identity for the events along with all the communication and event merchandise. The branding and communication carried forward the Foster’s identity, which helped increase brand engagement.
VGC also activated the brand on social media, which saw a huge surge in online brand mentions and interactions. In a duration of just 4 months, the brand’s Facebook page saw over 1,00,000 new fans with an average of 42,500 people posting mentions of the brand every month. Foster’s also made its way into the list of the 30 most influential Indian brands on Twitter. Through the social media engagement and communication, the Foster’s website clocked in over 1,00,000 visitors in just two months.
